My Frogs...

Finally I am doing my Frog Blog that the rest of the Fullmer family has already done and gotten over with. I am the caboose on the family train I guess!

So I'm not referring to the Frogs that are cute little green amphibians that your kids pick up and always want you to hold for them. I have tried for about 10 minutes to come up with a good way of explaining the Frogs and I can't... so the following is a exerpt of Kara Hill's blog about her Frog:

"Based on a quote by Mark Twain..."if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst things that is going to happen to you all day long. And if you have too eat a frog, you shouldn't look at it for too long."So, your "frog" is your biggest, most important task, the one you are most likely to procrastinate. Interestingly enough, it is typically also the one task that can have the greatest positive impact on your life at that moment."

- Here Kara very articulately explains that we just need to eat our frog right off the bat to be able to go on with our day and feel good. (Thank you Kara!)

My Huge BullFrog: Studying for my class. I have really been bad on this. I have so much going on (work, Landon, roommate, dinner, traveling, friends, life in general...) and so much time I want to do other things with that studying seems to fall to the wayside until about 3 days before the test and then I'm a flurry of cramming and stressing out. I always beat myself up afterwards for not just taking the hour and a half everyday to study than to wait until the last minute, but the next time I find myself doing the EXACT same thing! Isn't that the definition of an idiot??? This is the number one frog for me right now. It used to be spending quality time with Landon, but I have done a LOT better with that. I am so happy with him.

My Other Frog: Not Eating Junk Food. I don't know what my deal is lately (the last 1 and a half weeks). I have been a junk food junkie. Any candy I can get my hands on I eat! I feel like the bottomless pit, just with a toothache to remind me of what I've devoured later. This should really make you all feel a little better about the few peices of candy you've had... because I've eaten all the rest! So my other frog is avoiding junk food! This doesn't help with all the extra candy left in Landon's Halloween bucket... maybe the candy fairy will take it away and give it to other girls and boys that need it more than me.... oh I meant him!

My Other Frog: Spending time with my family. I have been so busy and stressed all the time that at the end of the day I will realize that my sister, mom and friend have called me and I haven't had time to call them back. I used to spend time every day it seemed with my sister at her house or talking on the phone, but lately we see eachother like twice a week (if that) just in passing. This causes a lot of guilt for me and I don't feel like my family is getting the attention from me that they may want.

These are my Frogs... I encourage all those who view my blog (if they haven't already) to write a blog of your own about your Frogs.

Hey about the junk food.

I know this sounds crazy but hear me out.

NO EMOTIONAL EATING!

I have the same problem. I get bored and I eat, I get pissed and I eat, etc etc etc.

This sucks cause the 3 hours I am clocking in at the gym a day are all getting wasted on junk food.

If you want to eat junk food that's fine...just have a reason. Then you can eat and be done. It's the spur of the moment shit that gets you(me really)

So take a deep breath and NO EMOTIONAL EATING.

Lot's of caffine, sleep depravation, and starvation don't help! Trust me!

Thank you for tuning in to Dr. Phil

lol... I am so glad someone else has this problem with Junk Food too! I think it's emotional eating at points... but just being stressed makes me want to turn to it too... I don't know why. I am on my way to getting over it though... because I can't stand any more days where I have my toothbrush attached to my hip. :)

Hey your frog and my frog should be friends because I can't keep my hands off of the candy in our house...or chips...or any junk of any kind. I did so well with the resolution at the begining of the year and it has all gone to pot lately. Mike told me the other day that I have one healthy tooth and a whole mouthful of sweet teeth. :D Maybe we can set a goal together and check up on each other or something. I know I could sure use some motivation to stop pigging out.

I love the new pictures, especially
the one of Landon in the suite case! Too cute, You really have a frog! Wow to cool, I cant wait for it to snow to see Landon in the snow. Hey you should take pictures of him in pile of leaves, tossing them or jumping in them. I love his smile, that can cheer anyone up any day or time. You are so blessed to have him, as we are to have both of you!
